Item Description

June 10, 2017 will be the 17th annual edition of the B2VT ride (formerly known as the B2B). In 2014 the course was altered to accommodate the new start and finish points but still contained most of the original B2B course (but was even more hilly!). The 2017 B2VT Ride will continue to be one of the most challenging single day rides in New England. By design, it is not for everyone.  This ride is for cyclists who are physically and mentally tough, don’t whine, excel in the face of challenges, know the rules of the road and can ride 130+ miles to the finish safely and without their hands being held. While it is an epic ride, it is not for novice riders nor the faint of heart…

Ride starts in Bedford, MA- Spire Corporation 40 Wiggins Avenue, Bedford, MA
There will be ample on-site parking available- see the Athlete Guide – B2VT 2016 for more information.  Ride ends at Okemo Mountain in Ludlow, VT (time to party!)

134.3 Miles, 8,101 Feet of climbing including 4 significant climbs:

  • “The Primer” – an irritating little six mile 4% grade climb at mile 30.
  • “The Leviathan” – a long and arduous 5 mile- category 3 climb at mile 75
  • “The Petro” – named after Alec Petro, the most complete individual we have and will ever know.  This classic New England section, starts with a cruise through the Bartonsville covered bridge and then climbs up a single lane old wagon road, through the Vermont village of Bartonsville and through the area woods.  The climb is 3 miles in length followed by a 1 mile section on unpaved hard pack.  An epic climb just like Alec would have loved.
  • “The Homestretch” – not really a single climb but more like having a stone in your shoe… it starts at mile 110 and then continues with 20 miles of annoying uphill until you arrive in Ludlow, VT

The Finish Venue finishes at Jackson Gore Village. This area is provides a large, more expansive venue that includes the Jackson Gore Inn and Okemo’s Adventure Zone featuring zipline tours, a mountain coaster, a treetop challenge course, a miniature golf course and lots more fun for kids and family. There will be ample on-site parking. Click here for more info about the finish area Jackson Gore Village.

All riders receive:

  • 2016 B2VT commemorative bike jersey (Pactimo Ascent Jersey with custom sizing for both men and women)
  • Parking, water bottle filling and last minute bike trouble shooting at start in Bedford
  • Transportation for your post ride clothes and gear from Bedford to Okemo
  • 3 fully stocked feed zones along the course
  • Cycle Loft on course mechanical support
  • Post-ride party at Okemo Mountain Resort with hot showers, fresh Harpoon beer, delicious BBQ, Athletes Village and live music (friends/family are welcome!)
  • B2VT Finisher’s T-shirt
  • Transportation for you and your bike/gear from the finish back to Bedford (optional)
  • Bragging rights for a lifetime…as long as you finish!
