Item Description

A Pasuk or Biblical Verse Painting* is a hand painted watercolor created by Drew Kopf, a member of Congregation B'nai Jeshurun, in which he endeavors to capture the essence of a particular pasuk; (verse or sentence) from the Torah (Five Books of Moses), or from the Writings or the Prophets.

Drew combines his broad knowledge of the subject matter having been graduated from both Yeshiva University High School and Yeshiva College with his artistic sensibility having a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Theater Directing from Temple University to create paintings that focus on the overarching message of the pasuk (verse); or combining it with certain elements that can personalize the painting for the winning bidder.

King Solomon said in Kohelless, Ecclesiastes, Chapter 3 Verse 22, which just happens to be the verse that the editors of my High School year book chose to exemplify me, and which I recently rediscovered after the death of one of my former classmates, when I looked him up in the Year Book, noticed the verse under his name and check my verse and, there it was. I was so taken by it and by the amazing wisdom of the young editors of the High Schol year book, that I decided to make a painting to capture it for me and hung it in my office. See above. King Solomon was right on target; not just for me but, perhaps, for each an every one of us.

Those bidding on a Pasuk (Biblical Verse) Painting will be bidding on a painting that has yet to be created and that will be centered around a pasuk; or Biblical verse of the winning bidder's choosing because the winning bidder would like to use the painting to help remind himself or herself and those who get to view the painting of the importance and value of that particular pasuk; or verse in all of our lives.

The winning bidder will receive the original painting and three full sized giclee copies all professionally framed. The giclee copies can be used as gifts to others or for special locations such as at the winning bidder's office or summer home.

*Drew retains the copyright to his various works so the winning bidder would still be restricted by the laws of copyright with regard to the Pasuk (Biblical Verse) Painting. But, additional copies can be purchased at half of the standard price of whatever those giclee copies would normally be.

Special Instructions The winning bidder of an Original Pasook (Biblical Verse) Painting by Drew Kopf must meet a reserve of $818.00 exclusive of all related costs of framing, packaging and shipping, which will be added to the final invoice.
