Item Description
We are founded on the simple idea that humans love to learn. We are intentionally and methodically creating an education experience which determines how this translates into the classroom. The result is an invigorating intellectual and social experience where students leave a class or a summer camp fulfilled, energized, and excited to come back.
QC AT-A-GLANCE
QuantumCamp is a school enterprise with a core mission of delivering amazing, hands-on math and science courses to kids via three main platforms:

- Home School
- Summer Camps
Students
Both homeschoolers and summer campers come from all backgrounds and from all academic skill levels. QuantumCamp students come from all nine Bay Area counties. There are 155 homeschool students currently enrolled. In the summer, we serve between 250 and 300 students.
Faculty
Our permanent staff consists full-time and part-time members who work both on curriculum development and student instruction. Many of our teachers hold Ph.D.’s and/or Master’s degrees. During the summer, we bring aboard a dedicated team of teachers, graduate students, and counselors.
Designing great courses is our passion! As a team of professional scientists and mathematicians, we are continually searching out the most exciting, beautiful, and relevant topics to bring to students. We keep each course and camp centered around a singular idea and design a sequence of experiments and activities which allows the student to discover – on their own – this idea. Because our courses are exclusively hands-on, they are completely accessible to all types of learners. As a result of these experiences, students feel a charge of accomplishment and satisfaction and begin to think about learning in a brand new way.
