Item Description

Edmund's Oast offers one of Charleston's favorite brunches, with fare ranging from charcuterie to pickled shrimp toast and beverages that run the gamut from inventive cocktails to rare brews. So why not enjoy it all with two of Charleston's favorite names in art and design—Jonathan Green and John Pope?

About each brunch guest:

Jonathan Green is a famed artist, born and raised in the  Lowcountry. He is considered by many art critics and reviewers as one of our nation’s most outstanding African-American artists and highly recognized visual master for capturing Southern culture and traditions. His exhibitions have brought him international recognition, and he's traveled throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico the West Indies, Switzerland, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Japan. Mr. Green’s art has been incorporated into productions of ballet, music, theatre, literature, film, and video documentaries. In 2016, he was the primary costume and set designer for Spoleto Festival USA's production of Porgy and Bess. Today, Mr. Green resides and paints in his studio located in on Daniel Island, South Carolina.

After completing his degree in Historic Preservation at the acclaimed Savannah College of Art and Design, John Pope pursued his passion for antiques. In 2007 he opened John Pope Antiques in the heart of historic Charleston’s Antique District. Influenced by his travels in Asia and Europe, John’s unique design aesthetic artfully juxtaposes eclectic periods and styles with bold use of color. John Pope Antiques is the vision realized by combining taste, flair, discriminating style, and impeccable quality.
