Item Description

Unique hand made druzy stone and beaded cuff bracelet.

Artist Maria Paul Kyros statement:

"

Most days you’ll find Casey (my beloved 14 year old puppy) and I sitting on the floor in front of a large picture window. There we get all the sunlight and warmth that brings out the subtle colors in the stones and beads. Those hidden nuances add to each piece’s unique quality.

As a Carnegie Mellon University graduate in Fine Arts and working as a Graphic Designer for more than 25 years, I believe in combining creativity and subtlety with out-of-the-box design. My pieces are formed completely by hand with rare components from Greece and precious stones from our own Southwest. Once completed, each piece embodies a blend of simplicity, design and sophistication; traits of all collected and coveted work.

Often, my intimate practice with the beads and long hours leads me to look and listen to where and what they would like to become. They want to be part of something more beautiful than just a single element. The beads are speaking and after years of working with them, I’ve come to accept their wisdom.

My creative passion in the last three years has been in engaging the basic shapes. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication and what can be more elementary than triangles, circles and squares."
