Item Description
Class Multimedia Art Project designed by the children of the Orange Room.
After learning about, and in the style of abstract impressionist, Jackson Pollock, our Tapuzim artists first painted the canvas black, and then took turns ‘splattering’ it with white, gold, and silver paint. Sand and glitter were added to the three colors to give their creation more depth, character, and texture.
The children were in awe that they could ‘drip’ and ‘splatter’ the paint onto the canvas without even touching the black background with their paintbrushes! It was then sprayed with ‘modge podge’ sealant, so that the glitter would not come off the painting.
We know that one of our Orange Room families will enjoy hanging this original work of art in their home as much as our children enjoyed creating it for you, and covet it for many, many years to come!
