Super Stitchers! 5-8 years
Time to get making! Super Stitchers explore their boundless imagination and creativity through theworld of fiber arts. Your child willlearn hand stitching and machine sewing and create new projects every week, including our theme-of-the-week projects each afternoon. We split each day up with an hour of outdoor fun at a nearbyplayground and journey once a week on a sewing-themed scavenger hunt.
Creative Threads! 8-11 years
Creative Threads campers delve head first into the world of machine stitching and never look back. Campers create two or three theme-week projects in addition to a team challenge piece and an embroidery sampler. Throw in hoola -hooping contests, bean bag tournaments, and sidewalk chalk murals and you're in for a week of creativity and fun! Oh, and don't forget our weekly scavenger hunt!
Fashion Week, Ages 12-15
Does yourteenager have a personal style all his or her own? Do theylove the world of fashion anddesign? After learning the ins and outs of machine sewing, our emerging designers immerse themselves inaProject Runwaystyle re-purposing "challenge". Students then spend their studio time creating one handmade original piece, one repurposed piece and one piece fromunconventional materials. Thisimmersion program allowsstudents to exploreevery step of creating a fashion line, from design concept to final product.
