Item Description
You are bidding on 4 passes to Garden in the Woods. New England's premier native plant garden.
The 4.5 acre Garden in the Woods contains New England's largest collection of native plants in a cultivated setting. Will Curtis began developing the Garden in 1931 and was joined in this adventure in 1933 by William Stiles. They worked on the Garden until it was deeded to New England Wild Flower Society in 1965. Since then, the Society has continued developing this beautiful garden, including additional displays of native plants, new entry garden, new Idea Garden, new Wildlife Garden, and much more. Each season brings a fresh look at native plants. The unique New England Garden of Rare and Endangered Plants is especially fascinating. In fact, you will see more rare and endangered species at Garden in the Woods than in a lifetime of hiking elsewhere.

About the Garden
Only 21 miles from Boston, Garden in the Woods is a living museum of rare and common native plants, set on 45 acres. Two miles of paths meander over glacier-sculpted ridges and through narrow valleys. A pond, a wooded bog, several springs, and a brook bring a diversity of wildlife into the garden. Adults and children will find plenty to see and do here.
