Nueva 5th Grade Class Gift: Wildlife in Color
- Item Number

Item Description
The 5th grade students were asked to research and write about an endangered species or habitat that speaks to them. The children each drew a silhouette of their chosen endangered animal, and their drawings were transferred to an archival paper mounted on panel. The drawings were arranged in the form of a circle to represent the earth. The silhouettes were then gilded with genuine 23 kt gold leaf (a metaphor for the value of these species to our planet). The artwork was then matted and framed in a stunning contemporary white frame. The result is a beautiful artistic creation of wildlife and habitat awareness.
