Item Description
Experience a behind-the-scenes tour of the U.S. Capitol led by The Honorable Steve Bartlett, former U.S. Congressman from Texas.
Mr. Bartlett served as the U.S. Congressman from Texas's 3rd Congressional District from 1983 - 1991 and as mayor of Dallas, Texas from 1991 - 1995. Mr. Bartlett will share historic knowledge of the U.S. Capitol and his congressional experience.
The U.S. Capitol is among the most architecturally impressive and symbolically important buildings in the world. The Senate and the House of Representatives have met here for more than two centuries. Since 1793, the Capitol has been built, burnt, rebuilt, extended, and restored; today, it stands as a monument not only to its builders but also to the American people and their government.
