Item Special Note
Washington Yacht & Country Club features an 18-hole par-72 golf course measuring 6,609 yards from the blue tees. The course was originally constructed as a 9-hole facility in 1949 by architect William Gordon who was a Charter Member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects. An additional 9 holes were constructed in 1977 by well-known architect Gene Hamm, a native of North Carolina who designed more than 60 layouts in Virginia, Tennessee, New York, and throughout the Carolinas.
WYCC's 18 hole, well-bunkered course features 419 Bermuda fairways, roughs, and tees, while the greens were rebuild with Dominant Plus Bent Grass in 2007.
With driving range, large putting green, chipping and sand trap practice area, WYCC has a complete set of facilities for the avid golfer.
Please note: there is a 10-percent (10%) handling fee that will be added to the final and successful bid/sell price by the Environmental Institute for Golf. The fee will be added to the final sell amount and charged to the buyer's credit card. In addition, a portion of the proceeds will go to the Environmental Institute for Golf for the advancement of education and research in the field of turfgrass improvement and management, the collection and dissemination of information, environmental protection, and the promotion of public awareness and safety.
