Silent Auction Item - Attend The Heart Ball Gala and Auction on April 29th to bid! 

Enjoy a wonderful weekend hosted by Congressional School alumni parent Bill Simpson filled with guided boating, fishing and/or hunting experiences. You'll stay in a waterfront vacation home just off the Chesapeake Bay in the historic Northern Neck, located only a 2 ½ hour drive from the Washington, D.C. area in Reedville, VA, a quiet country setting close to many small historic towns and sites. This 3-bedroom, 2 full bath home comes complete with all amenities. The house features a large kitchen, living room with vaulted ceiling, sunroom, and garage, and is fully furnished, including a washer and dryer. Outdoor amenities include an enclosed porch overlooking the water, lighted dock with water, electricity and a fish cleaning station. The 1 ½ acre yard is perfect for outdoor sports and games.

Your choice of Boating, Fishing or Hunting for a weekend:

  • Boating on the Chesapeake Bay and the Great Wicomico River for a weekend of your choice.  Day trip to Tangier Island and trip to the Rappahannock River Oyster Company (depending on the weather and waves).  Dates:  mutually agreeable weekend after May 1.
  • Fishing for a weekend on the Chesapeake Bay and/or on the Great Wicomico River.  Fishing license not required as long as you fish from the boat.  Dates:  mutually agreeable date during Spring Rockfish season May 1 – June 15.
  • Hunting in the Northern Neck for a weekend – turkey or deer hunting on private hunting property.  Safe, clearly marked hunting property with 16 fixed elevated tree stands.  Two creeks, food plots and a large pond is located on the property with an abundance of deer, turkey and other wildlife.  Dates: Turkey – through May 13.  Deer  - Archery October 1 to November 18; Muzzleloader November 5 to November 18; Shotgun November 19 to January 7.

Item Special Note

Four adults maximum.  Limited to families of children attending the Congressional Schools of Virginia.  Must have a valid Virginia hunting license. Lancaster County only allows shotguns - no rifles.  Guns and ammunition provided. 

Mutually agreeable dates with minimum 2 weeks’ notice requested.
