Item Description
Artwork from artist and SFDS parent Amanda Hughen. Amanda has exhibited her collaborative work in museums and galleries internationally, including the Asian Art Museum, the Berkeley Art Museum, Danese, Knoedler & Co., and White Columns. She has been an artist-in-residence at the DeYoung Museum of Art, the Headlands Center for the Arts, Oxbow, and Yaddo. Hughen's 10+year collaboration with the artist Jennifer Starkweather has been commissioned to create a large-scale, permanent artwork on the glass exterior of the new subway station opening in San Francisco’s Union Square in 2019.
Entitled "Pliant Receptor," this artwork is an an archival pigment print on paper (edition 7 of 10) from Amanda's Biotransformation Series. Print is 15x15 framed.
