Item Description
Named one of the Top Ten Best New Restaurants of 2012 by the Chronicle’s Michael Bauer, Comal serves rustic, wood-fired regional Mexican cuisine complemented by legendary cocktails and tequila flights in a festive atmosphere. Michael Bauer writes: "I've always said that if I were crazy enough to open a restaurant, it would be Mexican because the cuisine is so misunderstood and underrepresented in this area. Comal is exactly the type of place I'd have liked to open.”
This item is for a multi-course family-style Mexican feast for ten at Comal in Berkeley. Comal's menu features favorites such as Guajillo-adobo grilled spare ribs, spit-roasted chicken, quesadillas with hen of the woods mushrooms and wild shrimp ceviche w/aquachile, plus desserts like flan tradicionale w/candied kumquats and Oaxacan chocolate budin. Comal also serves mezcal and tequila flights, craft cocktails, house-made sangria, and great Mexican beers. This award winning restaurant is an East Bay standout. (Drinks, tax and gratuity are not included.)
