Item Description

Win this lot to sample four Sonoma Pinot Noirs and a pair from further north in Anderson and Wilamette Valleys.  From Sonoma enjoy a 2012 Freeman that earned 90 points from Robert Parker who said it, "reveals a dark, healthy plum/ruby color, and beautifully textured notes of forest floor, autumnal vegetation, plum sauce, black cherries and spice.  It is an attractive, sexy, round, well-endowed Pinot to drink over the next 5-6 years."  Also from Sonoma is a 2014 The Forager, a 2014 St. Francis and a 2015 Decoy that won top prize at both the San Francisco International Wine Competition & The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.  Oregan's pinot growing region is represented with a bottle of 2014 King's Ridge.  And last, but definintely not least, is a 2013 Rhys from their Bearwallow Vineyard.  Robert Parker awarded this botle 93 points and said it's, "as sexy and fruit driven as the wines from this estate get.  Giving up tons of strawberries, blueberries, crushed violets and assorted floral notes, it's upfront and layered on the palate, with plenty of fruit, good concentration and a big finish.  Shining for its mouth filling fruit and texture, it's still far from blowsy or soft, and should evolve nicely."
