Item Description

75 minute bodywork appointment with Conor Beliveau.  KMI uses deep fascial and myofascial manipulation techniques to improve posture, alignment and general well-being.  Promotes recovery from injury, surgery or stress.

A native of Hallowell, Maine, Conor graduated from Colby College in 2004 and began his study of Structural Integration (SI) in 2010 at the Rolf Institute in Boulder, CO, where he completed a course in the Foundations of Rolfing Structural Integration (200+ hours). He became certified as a KMI practitioner in June 2011 after completing a professional training in KMI Structural Integration (500 hours) through Kinesis, Inc. of mid-coast Maine under the tutelage of Tom Myers. He has maintained a private practice in Portland, Maine ever since. He is a member of the International Association of Structural Integrators (IASI).

He has travelled widely and worked in many 'active' fields over the last decade, including organic farming, commercial fishing, and carpentry, and is an avid athlete and outdoorsman. He loves to surf, hike, rock climb, and practice yoga. Conor received the Rolfing '10-series' in his early twenties, introducing him to SI, which helped to relieve years of chronic pain and tension that had accumulated from commercial fishing and working in the building trades. A seed was planted and many years later the opportunity arose to study Structural Integration and begin a new career. After starting out to become a Rolfer, the opportunity arose to stay in Maine and train in KMI with Tom Myers and he enthusiastically threw himself into work and study. His love of bodywork drew him into the profession and it is still what brings him to work everyday eager to share with others what he has been so fortunate to experience in his own body. Recent trainings in SourcePoint® Therapy have broadened his approach to body structure and make for a more dynamic and well rounded experience for his clients.

Conor's office at 17 South Street, 2nd floor, just steps away from Downtown and the Old Port at the edge of the West End, is a quiet and comfortable setting to explore Structural Integration sessions. Conor also teaches private and groups classes with the Wun-Jo trainer and the Flo Dynamics movement system upon request.
