Item Description
Survival Perspectives
A 2-1/2h workshop up to 10 participants for middle school students to adult - or any combination!
This workshop is for all abilities and experience. We all have room to grow.
Survival is when your personal baseline skill set for acquiring and maintaining oxygen, shelter, water, fire, and food are disrupted. This disruption can happen out on the trail or in the home. Is it a soaking wet sleeping bag or a furnace that busted during the middle of an ice storm?
This class is designed for folks to self assess their current skill sets, identify the systems that help them meet their needs, and to develop resilience into that system. Each individual will develop their own plan for developing baseline skill sets. Key factors in posturing forward: budget(time/money), finding credible resources (books/internet), schools, training partners, and getting dirty time.
It's not the gear, it's how you use what is available to your advantage. What gear do you keep available? Bow drill, lighter,Tent or Tarp?
