Item Description
This year, set aside an hour to see the Bay in one of the most distinct ways. You and five friends (over the age of 12) will have the unique opportunity to take a bay tour aboard the San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD) Fire Boat and learn all about the important role that these boats play on our Bay and the surrounding city. The SFFD Fire Boats have historically been key to San Francisco during times of distress. Its main job has been to rescue swimmers and pump millions of gallons of water into San Francisco's Reserve System. When the Loma Prieta Earthquake caused water lines to burst beneath the city, it was the Fire Boat that fire fighters hooked up to a portable hydrant, sparing the Marina from an even bigger fire.
Item Special Note
Minimum age for ride is 12, must be accompanied by an adult. Expires April 22, 2018.
