Item Description
About the Artist:
Born in Sherbrooke in 1963, ROUSSO now lives in Saint-Amable. For several years, she has been involved in the world of art, where she gets acquainted with enamel, jewelry, and pottery.
Life pulled her away from her artistic path for some time, but she returned in 2004, inspired by her daughter who pursues Design studies.
The company of many renowned artists brought her to refine her art. The influence of Kline and De Kooning is like a breath of fresh air in the evolution of her technique, thus drawing the path toward that distinctive style that now defines her.
Solo exhibitions, symposiums, and many collections punctuate her artistic route.
As she believes in the evolution of her own karma, she proposes soft, simple, and peaceful themes.
Welcome to the universe of ROUSSO.
ROUSSO, a self-taught artist-painter, embarks on a creative journey influenced by none other than her appreciation for the abstract. As she pursues her path, she recognizes that artists such as Zoran Music, Willem de Kooning and Franz Kline awaken her to the extent of feeling connected to the movement. At last, she discovers her own.
The birth of her many collections was the result from this emergence, in her abstract universe. She believes that this artistic practice represents individual and social concerns across all aspects of life. Her dream is to bring peace, simplicity and gentleness to our lives, while manifesting the strength of our feelings and different states of mind.
A creative artist with unlimited boundaries, she coordinates her canvas while adding materials, breaststroke color and concentrates to reach the height of her artistic skills. Devoid of violence, on the lookout for innovation, in harmony with her life, we are transported in a universe that is simply referred to as ROUSSO.
