Professionally framed and matted AP (artist's proof) print, signed by the artist. 

Framed dimensions are 17"x 30"  Pictured with black frame - however, please note the frame is a light oak!  

In the fall of 2013, ecologist and author Tom Wessels led a guided walk of the newly purchased land that our new school would be built on.  On that walk Tom pointed out a very beautiful red oak tree that had 4 trunks emerging from one base stump; it grew on the soon-to-be site of the new building.  Tom, with his knowledge of trees, was able to tell its story by looking at various features.  He told its age, that it had survived several major storms, and how it had come to have multiple trunks, among other things.  The tree was cut when construction began, but has now been memorialized in a very special way.  Greta Bank, an artist and FSP parent, was on the walk with Tom and was struck by the majesty of the red oak.  To honor it and to celebrate our new home in Cumberland, she produced a beautiful rendering of the tree and surrounded it with Tom’s description.  Working at Pickwick Independent Press, a shared printing studio in Portland with a Vandercook letterpress machine, she made, and then donated to us, 50 lovely relief prints which we are thrilled to offer to you first, as our loyal partners on this remarkable journey.

Items and gift certificates may be claimed on April 8^th at our Auction & Celebration on our campus in Cumberland, Maine.  Shipping bulky items to any location is not included in the sale price, unless expressly stated.  If shipping is required, the cost will be charged to the credit card on file.
