Item Description

Featured at the Milan fair 2009, this limited edition piece is by Matali Crasset, a french industrial designer. He was asked in 2009 to create a series for the inaugural collection of Moustache at Milan Design week. Moustache’s aim is to bring together a group of like-minded designers to nurture the development of innovative and honest furnishings that will stand the test of time - much like Denmark in the 1950s and 60s. Matali Crasset goal was to have an entire dining set that could be taken apart at any time, disappearing to take advantage of the space it took up. The key component: the trestle. While the shell seat creates an armchair, the trestle shape follows the shell’s profile and, at the back, has a hook for a bag or anything else. The two are very easily separated so they can be put away or stacked.
