DUKES OF HAZARD TV REUNION IN THE SHENANDOAH VALLEY!
2 ADULT AND 2 YOUTH TICKETS TO COOTER'S LAST STAND WEEKEND ON JULY 29 & 30, 2017 IN LURAY, VA
John Schneider, Tom Wopat, Catherine Bach, Sonny Shroyer, Rick Hurst, and "Cooter" will be present, along with friends like Don Pedro Colley (Sheriff Little) and Corey Eubanks, a great stuntman. Dorothy Best will be with us to reminisce about the wonderful James Best and her years with the Dukes. The Smith Brothers, ace car guys, will be there to do a ramp to ramp jump on both afternoons. There will be about 65 General Lees registered for the Hazzard County Car Show, along with about 30 other Hazzard County cars.
And there is a family tradition theme going with the entertainment, too. Marty Haggard, Merles son, will be with present along with Wilson Fairchild, two great performers that are sons of the legendary Statler Brothers. Dale Jett and Hello Stranger will perform on Sunday. Dale is the grandson of A.P. and Sara Carter of the Original Carter Family. Also on Sunday well have the amazing Bluegrass Brothers, who are as good as it gets when it comes to red hot pickin. The event will also feature good ole rock and roll, and it doesn't get any better than Sonny Burgess and The Legendary Pacers. Sonny and the Band started out at Sun Records in Memphis with Elvis, Jerry Lee, Johnny Cash, and all the other Rockabilly Kings. And they are still going strong all over the world.
In addition, Keith King, the king of BMX, will be performing, as hopefully will Jerry The King Lawler, still the Champ. There will be a great Saturday night fireworks show, and a Gospel Sing on Sunday morning.
And, oh yes, there will be a large Civil War encampment, with a battle re-enactment, a cavalry skirmish, and the finest of the Civil War bands, the 2nd South Carolina String Band, who were featured in the films Gettysburg and Gods and Generals.
