Item Description
As part of the master plan for the Lower School campus, we are expanding and redeveloping the recreation areas and green spaces for the students. This summer, improvements are planned to the playscape, hardscape, garden and grounds. We will create a new Play Zone with many unique elements for students to inspire students’ physical activity, socialization, creativity and learning. Play is an essential component of learning for young children. And let’s not forget the fun.
The new nursery programme will get play structures specifically designed to enhance pretend play, communication and gross motor skills. We have redesigned the areas adjacent to the current basketball court and four square to make maximum use of the areas and feature a variety of elements. Elementary student focus groups have identified their preferences for a pirate-themed Playstructure that includes balance elements, fireman’s pole, tunnels and a climbing wall. They want to expand the garden, install two large chessboards, create additional foursquare space and have ping pong tables and board games.
