This journey through Napa Valley takes you through one of the most complex wine growing regions in the world. Spanning 26 miles, the valley experiences a range of weather and soil conditions that influence and embellish the wines produced in Napa Valley. The southern region enjoys cooling breezes and morning fog, inspiring cool-weather loving varietals such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah. Moving north toward Calistoga, the climate heats up and the richer soils favor Cabernet, Merlot, some old vine Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc. Enjoy the day and the many appellations along the way on this "Napa Valley South to North" adventure.

Begin your private tour and tasting for two at Piero’s Fountain, named in honor of patriarch Piero Antinori, where you will be greeted with a glass of Antica’s delicious Fossino Rosato (Rose’). Enjoy the view of more than 600 majestic acres of vineyards and olive trees and explore the Antica Caves where the estate wines are aged. Continue to the Antica “cucina” tasting room and enjoy a seated tasting of Antica’s estate wines paired with locally inspired culinary delights.  Although Antica is known for their single vineyard estate grown Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, you will also taste their collection of limited production estate wines - Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, and Pinot Noir - which deliciously convey the family’s Tuscan heritage now continued in Napa Valley. 

von Strasser Winery (Calistoga)
Enjoy a private tour and tasting for two at von Strasser Winery in Napa Valley's Diamond Mountain region. With his vineyard and winery in the Valley's warmer and most northern region, Rudy von Strasser focuses on Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux varietals with a few surprises. Rudy -- a UC Davis graduate -- was the first American winemaking intern at the renowned Chateau Lafite Rothschild in Bordeaux. On his return to Napa he worked at several wineries before founding his vineyard and winery in 1990. The von Strasser Winery produces wines full of mountain Cabernet intensity with the finesse of the finest Bordeaux. Your private tour of this breathtaking mountain property includes a visit to the cave and winery to sample an array of award-winning von Strasser wines paired with artisan chocolates.

Cindy Pawlcyn's Napa Valley Restaurants 
Enjoy a $100 certificate for lunch for two at one of Cindy Pawlcyn's Napa Valley restaurants. Cindy has pioneered fresh, local, seasonal, sustainable wine-country cuisine since opening Napa Valleys legendary Mustard's Grill in 1983. She is the founder/owner of three of Napa Valley's most beloved restaurants.

NOTE: Napa is approximately 1.5 hours north of San Francisco and Oakland.

Must be booked a minimum of 60 days in advance. Reservations are subject to availability and hotel may be substituted for comparable or better property.  Certificates cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or destroyed. All purchases are non-refundable. Packages cannot be resold. Ground transportation is not included unless where specified.
