Meet author Dennis James and his wife, photographer Barbara Grossman, as they share stories of their off-the-beaten path travels and discuss their new book: Songs of the Baka and Other Discoveries: Travels after Sixty-Five.
Winner will receive a signed copy of the book.
After long careers practicing law, which left little time for world travel, Dennis and Barbara decided to throw caution to the wind and visit areas of the world most would consider too far, too dangerous, and perhaps underdeveloped, such as Papua New Guinea, Cameroon, and Mali. Their visits to less popular destinations allowed them a rare glimpse into some of the worlds indigenous cultures, their art, music, dance, and spirituality. The authors hope to inspire others, regardless of age, to follow their own curiosity and adventurous spirits.
