I chose ‘Persistence’ as a nod to ‘Nevertheless She Persisted’ ( https://www.washingtonpost.
I chose the models because I wanted to represent different races painted similarly, another hint at the name. That as women, we must keep working to put right to not only injustice to people who look like ourselves, but to understand that we are all fighting a similar fight and it will take persistence to overcome not just sexism but racism as well.
