Item Description
A private coaching session for a singer interested in enlarging his or her knowledge of baroque performing practice, from Professor Harry Saltzman, founder and director of the Sine Nomine Singers, a chamber chorus that was for several decades in the forefront of the period instrument movement in the United States.
Individual coaching sessions in baroque performance practice can be geared to any level of student, from the opera singer who wants to perform a great Messiah for his or her church job, to the baroque specialist who wants to refine his or her ornamentation. For the non-specialist, specific attention is paid to a few basic principles, so that what is learned while coaching a recitative or aria can be applied to any baroque work performed in the future.
Item Special Note
Session is available starting August 7, 2017. Exact date to be arranged with donor.
Donated By:
Harry Saltzman
