Allyson Allen is a multiple California Arts Council grant recipient and has been recognized for over two decades as a Master Quilt and Doll Artist. Twice nominated for NEA National Heritage Fellowship consideration, she is an award winning, internationally exhibited artist, lecturer, and instructor. She has been quilting and teaching quilting for over twenty-five years. Her quilts, dolls, textile art pieces and handmade books have been commissioned by entertainers, dignitaries, and organizations across the country. Her work has been exhibited at art venues throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Africa, and has been featured in public and private galleries, museums, cultural centers, embassies, and on cable television.
