Item Description
Fans, made of elaborate materials such as fragrant wood and silk, have served as canvases for art and poetry. The fan contained here tells the story of Zhuge Liang (181-234 AD), the Chancellor and Regent of the state of Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms Period. An accomplished strategist often compared with the likes of Sun Tzu (The Art of War), Zhuge Liang is sometimes referred to as the “Sleeping Dragon,” and is much admired in the warrior tale, Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
