Item Description
Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child are offering naming rights to a character in their upcoming Pendergast thriller, City of Endless Night, to be published in January 2018. The successful bidder can name the character after himself or herself, or someone else (with permission, to avoid libel issues!). You can choose a good character or an evil character. When the book is published, the winning bidder will receive two first edition copies autographed by Preston and Child.
The Pendergast novels by Preston and Child are a #1 New York Times bestselling series, featuring Special Agent A.X.L. Pendergast. City of Endless Night is set in Queens, Manhattan, and Long Island. What begins as a manhunt for the missing daughter of a wealthy tech billionaire becomes something altogether different when the young woman's decapitated body is discovered in an abandoned warehouse in Kew Gardens, Queens. Soon it becomes apparent that there may be two unconnected perpetrators on the loose—one responsible for the young woman's death, and another who found the body and took its head. Lieutenant CDS Vincent D'Agosta of the NYPD and Special Agent Pendergast of the FBI investigate.
