The winner of this item will provide lunch or dinner for a select number of his or her friends or associates and Letty will come to the winner's New York City home (or event venue) and give a casual talk followed by a Q and A on a topic of the winner's choosing.
Possible subjects: American feminism at a crossroads; activism in a time of upheaval; How To Be A Friend To A Friend Who's Sick (her latest nonfiction book, about what to say and do --and not say or do -- when a friend is suffering in body or mind); a week in a writer's life; reconciling faith and feminism; the story behind the founding of Ms. magazine and the making of "Free to Be, You and Me;" or any topic related to her other books. A founding editor of Ms. magazine, LETTY COTTIN POGREBIN is a writer, lecturer, social justice activist, and the author of eleven books, most recently her latest novel, Single Jewish Male Seeking Soulmate (2015). She has also published another novel, Three Daughters, and nine non-fiction works. Twelve free copies of her books will be provided for distribution to guests at the winners' lunch/dinner.

Date of event to be arranged at the mutual convenience of author and winner of the item. The lunch/dinner must take place within one year of the close of the auction. This prize cannot be resold or put on auction.
