Item Description

This Professor pen is rustic in style with its matt antique silver hardware and natural wood, Pau Ferro, for the body. The form is relatively simple, without much ornamentation, but is made unique by the cross-hatched detailing at both ends. As its name suggests, it's a perfect understated elegant pen for the intellectual or serious minded man or woman in your life.  The body is finished with a durable carnuba wax. It is a twist pen which opens when you twist away and retracts with a twist towards you.  It measures 12.5 cm or just under 5 inches.  It comes in its own velveteen drawstring pouch.

The pen comes with an unmarked black ink cartridge but takes easily obtained Parker Style Ball Point or Gel Ink refills.

Item Special Note

The pens for the Wildlife SOS auction were designed and made by John Baker (mostly) and Sylvie Malenfant.  They are both passionate about animal welfare and elephants in particular, recognizing that their exotic nature and size leads to their exploitation and untold suffering in captivity at the hands of humans. Wildlife SOS has done so much to help relieve their plight by providing a refuge where they can heal both emotionally and physically. Their hope is that these pens will help contribute a 'small piece of the pie' necessary for Wildlife SOS to continue with their amazing work on behalf of elephants, bears and any other animals in distress with their 24hr emergency response service.
