Slither around on this one-of-a kind, hand painted Snake themed bike!

Here’s the story behind the bikes from Rally Cycling Creative Director Sam Wiebe:

"For our donation to the spring auction this year, we wanted a way to truly represent and honor the brave young UHCCF grant recipients our donation is meant to help.

We connected with the families of eight UHCCF grant recipients and asked each kid to share a bit of their story and, most importantly, what they think is cool.

The surveys were awesome. We got fun, unique responses from each kid and we got to work brainstorming ideas about how to distill this colorful information into compelling, cool bicycle art. Our primary goal was to have each kid look at the finished bike, smile, and say, That’s mine!”.

Snake is inspired by Nathan, 9, of Utah. Nathan’s favorite animal is “the Green Anaconda. It has a dinosaur ancestor and it is the biggest and heaviest snake.” This bike practically hisses, the result of a complex paint process. Scales are applied by hand in sheets of hand-weeded, laser-cut stickers, and blended into a pure green hue near the bike’s joints. A deep crimson serves as the “underbelly” on the stays, fork, and logo accents. The real snake magic comes from a space-age clear coat that returns a rainbow of iridescent hues in sunlight. Snake is a 56 cm frame. The bike will be raced by Eric Young of the Rally Cycling team at the 2017 Amgen Tour of California, one of the world’s biggest bike races.

This bike is more than “just” fast, one of eight feather-light carbon fiber race bike donated by Rally Cycling. The bike is truly one-of-a-kind, with a unique, carefully designed paint job that represents the hopes and dreams of Nathan, a UHCCF grant recipient.

Bikes will be drop-shipped directly to the address of your choosing (limited to the continental U.S.). Bikes to leave CA for inspection/cleaning and will be shipped to winners the week of June 1st, 2017.
