Item Description
Remi is a wildly playful 3 year old sloth bear. She was hand reared by zookeepers after her mother could not care for her due to illness. At 1yr old Remi was introduced to her father, Francois who showed her many things, including how to paint! Remi is just beginning to perfect her artistic technique - blowing paint through a tube and watching it on canvas.
Sloth bears are primarily insect eaters and will use their 3” claws to dig and rip open termite mounds. They naturally blow dirt and debris away after tearing into a termite mound and then suck up the insects.
There are fewer than 15,000 sloth bears remaining in the wild throughout India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
The purchase of this item can feed a rescued 'dancing bear' for one week.
