Item Description
The 55 year old elephant named ‘Mohan’ was poached from the wild as a calf, separated from his herd and his family. He was tied up and beaten to break his spirit after which he was sold off to be used as a begging elephant. He was shackled for over 50 years and continuously abused by his captors before he wasn finally rescued by Wildlife SOS after a persistent effort of over two years to win him freedom. The staff is dedicated to his care and determined to do everything they can to help him recover from the trauma of his past. Mohan seems to quite enjoy both his fodder and the fruit, with a special fondness for watermelons!
30$ can feed Mohan for a day. Will you help us keep his belly full?
