Item Description
Title: Patterns of the Ocean
Artist Inspiration: Andy Warhol, 1928-1987, American
Description: The kinders were fascinated by the use of everyday logo’s and objects being used over and over again (aka repeating) in Warhol’s work. We discussed popular items that Warhol might use today: converse, beanie boo’s and of course emoji’s. We came up with 5 Patterns of the Ocean: Waves, Fish, Jelly Fish, Eels, and Spiral Shells.
Medium: Using black oil pastel crayon, they drew 1 pattern on a 5x5 square and used water color to paint their square.
Dimensions: 23”x33”
*A special 'thanks' to Jeff and Lauryn Fioresi for their help on this project.
