Item Description

This item is a hand painted, hand-fired decorative ceramic bowl by a female Indigenous artist from the Sarayaku Kichwa people of the Ecuadorian Amazon.

The Sarayaku are a powerful and organized people who are on the front lines of protecting their communities and territories from oil development. They are known for their skilled artistry in pottery and intricate beaded accessories. You can learn more about them here:

Item Special Note

Pick Up: School parents (and others who contact us by 9am on Monday, May 15th) can pick up this item at Sebastopol Charter School on Thursday, May 18th, between 2-4:30pm, OR Friday, May 19th, 1-3:30pm. Details about pick up location, any additional pick up times, and scheduling a special pick up time will be emailed to winning bidders at the close of auction.

Shipping: If you are not a school parent, this item will be shipped to you at your expense unless you contact us at fundraising@thecharterfoundation.org by Monday, May 15th, at 9am, to elect pick up instead of shipping. The estimated shipping charge for this item is $13.60.

Please note that if the item is a gift certificate, a gift card, tickets, or a similar item, it cannot be insured. We will send it by certified mail. For other items, the shipping charge will include insurance.

The Charter Foundation is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.
