Title & Artist: "Playful Codfish" – by Amy Hourihan
Medium, Accessories & Size: Wooden toy assembled with vintage Brio toy parts, chalkboard paint, and rope, accompanied by a box of colored chalk, felt eraser, and 12-page board book illustrated with original watercolors.
Toy: 21 7/8" L x 9" H x 3 1/4" D. Board book: 8" L x 8" H. For indoor or outdoor use.*

Artist Statement: Young children will enjoy pulling this well-constructed wooden fish behind them as they walk around Marblehead. They can decorate him with chalk any way they like! The toy is accompanied by a 12-page board book that shows Codfish visiting Marblehead over the 4th of July. He rows a boat, marches in the Horribles Parade, and climbs Abbot Hall, among other noteworthy outings. The final adventure shows Codfish watching the harbor illumination and fireworks. The verse and watercolor illustrations are all original, and the book is one of a kind.
This toy is suitable for a child of three years and up. The sturdy board book is a picture book with simple rhyming verse to appeal to early readers.
Artist Biography: Amy Hourihan is a painter and printmaker working out of Little Harbor Studios in Marblehead. She is a member of the Marblehead, Salem, and Newburyport Arts Associations. She has been a student at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and Maud Morgan Arts in Cambridge, and she has studied printmaking and watercolor with Boston artist Joel Janowitz.

Pick-up of purchased cods will be on Wednesday evening, July 5. Winning bidder will receive a notification email with information on pick-up time and location.
If winning bidder requires shipping, winner's credit card will be charged a separate $24.95 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.
Any cod purchased via "Buy Now" will remain on display at the hosting business through the end of the auction, and will be available for pick-up as detailed in the winning bidder notification email.
If winning bidder has not picked up cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
