Own a Piece of The Discovery Museums!
This year, The Discovery Museums will completely renovate and expand the Science Discovery Museum building! Over six months (June - December 2017), new spaces will be created for playing, learning, and exploring, and the entire structure, top to bottom, will be made accessible, incorporating universal design principles. The classic Discovery Museums exhibits you know and love the most will be made accessible and reinstalled (including the train room!), and we’ll add wonderful new exhibit spaces focusing on early childhood, inventing/tinkering, math, water, and air.
The original Children's Discovery Museum will no longer be open for everyday use once our new, unified museum opens late in 2017. Many exhibits from the Children's Discovery Museum will be re-imagined in the new museum building. Some of the exhibits that will not be re-used are now available to you to own!
Do your kids love trains? Decorate your play room or kids room with the train arrival/departure sign (60" x 14") and train signal mural (34" x 58") from the Children's Discovery Museum.
Item Special Note
The winning bidder will accept these items as-is when the Children's Discovery Museum is closed to the public (expected December 2017). Items must be picked up at The Discovery Museums at a pre-arranged time.
