This is your opportunity to experience the 2017 LI Summertime Kick It Dance Intensive from July 24 -28!
What is Summertime KICK IT all about? KICK IT is a one-week dance camp for students in grades 7-12 who have had some dance training.*
In this week of dance, you will be exposed to conditioning, relaxation and self awareness strategies for improving health and wellness, technique (ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, yoga, musical theatre dance, improvisation and composition), as well as experimenting with new styles of movement and choreography. The week will culminate with a performance of your learning for family and friends!
This week-long dance camp will improve your knowledge, technique, and performance abilities. It will also promote unity and team building, confidence, self-expression and communication skills, respect for self and others, poise, one’s problem solving skills with creativity, and expand your horizons in the world of dance by pushing individual boundaries safely.
The students’ work during the week will culminate in a student dance showcase on Friday, July 28 at 5 pm in the Lyndon Institute Alumni Auditorium. The performance is free and open to families and friends of the dance camp participants.

*If a student is interested but has had no dance training, a parent must contact Rebecca McGregor to discuss the student’s interest and past physical activity.
