Item Description
You are bidding on an all handmade, Sami Bracelet with Silver and Black braiding.
SAMI BRACELET:
Since the 17th Century, the Samis have used gold, silver and bronze thread for embroideries, primarily on ceremonial garments. Although inspired by the old tradition of pewter thread embroidery, this unique bracelet is a contemporary example of the ancient Sami handicraft.
The Sami Bracelet is made from bark tanned reindeer skin purchased from northern Sweden and Finland. The pewter consists of 7% silver and is nickel- and lead-free. It is braided and hand sewn onto the reindeer skin. The buttons are handmade from naturally shed reindeer antlers.
The result is exclusive, modern, and original jewelry based on centuries-old skills. Men and women of all ages enjoy wearing the comfortable and durable Sami Bracelets.
