Item Description
A gift of $5,000 will provide for one year of guest artists and speakers to share their experiences and skills with CMA's Young Artist Kollective (YAK) and GirlStories members.
CMA’s teen programs are dedicated exclusively to 6th-9th graders. CMA’s teaching artists introduce participants to new technology, art materials, and encourage creative thinking. Young artists can create their own work, collaborate with others, gain internship experience in a museum environment, and make friends with fellow art lovers.
YAK, is a free program that provides emerging young artists ages 12-15 with exclusive studio space and materials, artistic and technical guidance, opportunities to meet with guest artists, and a chance to learn about professional opportunities across the art world.
GirlStories is a free after school program for girls ages 12-15 that empowers them to become makers and individuals, and encourages them to bring their unique perspectives into fields that are predominately male domintated. Guest speakers share their own experiences and impart knowledge for the next generation of women in fields such as animation, illustration, photography, and graphic art.
CMA strives to bring quality arts programming and access to the arts for all children, regardless of socioeconomic means. Thank you for your support and helping us make the arts accessible for all children.
Item Special Note
CMA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
