Item Description
In 1996 Carla Carey started a school for watercolor studies that focused on developing a thorough understanding of the medium as well as the skills necessary for an artist to realize their own creativity. The Brockton Area Watercolor Studies Group is today an ensemble of both students and working artists. Graduating from the University of Rhode Island in 1974 with a teaching degree, Carla has taught at both the high school and college levels as well as at two museum schools. She presently is a member of the adjunct faculty for the Fine Arts department at Stonehill College in Easton, MA.
Carla has over twenty years of portrait experience in watercolors, oils and graphite. During the past decade her art has focused on experimental and nontraditional applications of watercolor along with the more familiar techniques. Her artwork can be found in private collections throughout the world.
This floral still life measures 16 x 13 unframed.
