Item Description
Learn the Art of singing Barbershop Harmony and become a better singer. Learning the basics of Barbershop Harmony is guaranteed to be fun and will help you with intervals. ABS Alumnus from Class of 2013, Evin Guidone, will work with your quartet or a group of four ABS boys who would like to form a quartet.
Evin was a Prefect at ABS and also a member of the infamous Barbershop Quartet that recorded on the American Boychoir CD “I Hear America Singing”. This quartet also performed on many tours and on “From the Top”! Prior to graduating ABS, Evin auditioned for and was accepted into the Barbershop Harmony Society and has been a member since then. Evin sang baritone with his quartet, “The Facetones”, placing 2nd at District and at Division qualified as Mic Testers for Finals. Evin will be going to college in the Fall as a voice/composition major and will pursue his interests in jazz bass as well.
Requirements for this workshop are the ability to read music, a good ear and 4 voice-parts (Lead, Tenor, Baritone & Bass). Included is a Barberpole Cat Program and Song Book for each of the 4 participants. Available dates for this workshop are: May 20, 27, 28; June 3, 4, 10 or 11. This will not expire so if these dates do not work, another may be chosen as Evin’s schedule permits.
