Each artist was asked to interpret and be inspired by California culture and history. Some compositions are obvious. Some obscure. And reading the artist statement helps the buyer understand and enjoy.
PEDIGREE: California is the largest dairy state in the Country. Agriculture is second only to tourism in the California economy. The California Milk Processors Board, owners of the celebrity engaged famous GOT MILK? advertising campaign, commissioned the sculptures and the artists. The public display of the sculptures promoted the health benefits from milk especially for children.
In 2015, GOT MILK? Contributed these beautiful art forms to Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times to support and raise funds for their critical programs. CAMP is a program of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California supporting families and serving children being treated for cancer since 1982.
These now famous bovine beauties are the result of over 300,000 public views and visits and a million+ photographs. The exhibition is an historical (and hysterical!) event commemorated by the public display in Newport Beach and Dana Point.
Remember, with no cows there’s no cowgirls, no Cowboys. No John Wayne, no John Wayne Airport. No Gene Autry, Gene Autry Museum. No Angels baseball team.
Cows and cattle are part of our history and culture. Maybe “Cowlifornia”?

Other than the blank sculpture having been acquired by CPMB from CowParade, there is no CowParade relationship with CMPB, Dana Point California’s Cowabunga! project or the Newport Beach Sculpture Garden Cows4Camp exhibition.

The buyer or agent can inspect the sculpture in Newport Beach. Detailed photographs can be provided to registered bidders. Delivery is free within 50 miles of Newport Beach. Using Google map for calculation, additional miles are billed at one dollar per mile and paid directly to the delivery company. Delivery will be curbside. Additional handling, installation and insurance is responsibility of the purchaser.
