Item Description

This beautiful piece is a large, jadeite pendant (2" long) with a 14kt bale. It features bi-color whitish/green and reddish/yellow colored patterns and comes ready for giving in a gift box.

Jadeite is one of two minerals recognized as the gemstone Jade. The other is nephrite. Jadeite's color commonly ranges from white through pale apple green to deep jade green but can also be blue-green, pink, red, yellow, lavender and a multitude of other rare colors. Typically, in the West, the most highly valued colors of jadeite are the most intensely green, translucent varieties. But traditionally in the East the white and yellow has been considered the most valuable of the jades, especially by the Chinese. Jadeite is among the most valuable of all gemstones and is considered the “Stone of Heaven” by providing a bridge between this world and the next.~wikipedia.com
