Item Description
You can learn how to repair and restore them yourself at a two-day workshop run by David Bowers of Olde Window Restorers in Weare. All materials, tools and lunch provided. Wooden windows and their proper care are so important for old houses!
Day one includes lead safety, window tools and purpose, window assessment, sash construction, putty removal methodes, paint stripping, glass recovery, minor repairs and hands on practice. Day two features Epoxy and Dutchman repairs, glass cutting, glazing, painting, sash rope replacement, hands on practice of each skill and hand-out with tips and resources.
Note that the class size is limited to six, allowing for personal instruction.
