Artist Inspiration:

Caldonia is inspired by Juliette’s coon kitty, Tahluelah who is very “hot & cold” as a result; Juliette created contrasting with warm and cool colors.

Artist Bio:

Juliette Orr is an Abstract Expressionist born and raised in Colorado. Among Juliette’s family, which consists of many artists who inspired her to wander down this creative road, there is a rumor that she is related to François-Auguste-René Rodin, known as Auguste Rodin, the French sculptor.

Juliette studied art at Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, Colorado and at the Art Students League of Denver. She enjoys portraiture and fine tuning her skills with still-life painting, but most of her deeply intuitive, artistic passions lie within her abstract works. She taps into another realm – undefined and emotional. Inspiration comes in swift swings, usually in the middle of the night. Each piece is molded by the experiences of a particular moment in time.

Juliette believes the relationship between art and spectator to be a raw, boundless and true connection. She is blessed to have three kitty cats in her family; sophisticated, long-hair Tahluela; sweet sleek Carol; and clumsy, lovable Bruce. “Caldonia was inspired by the moody cats keeping us on our toes! We play by their rules and relish the warm fuzzy moments.”
