Item Description
Signifying magnificence and beauty, the Calla Lily hails from Africa and is one of the most beautiful flowers in the world. Its unique shape makes it popular in bouquets, and often serves as the inspiration for artwork, like this cross stitched piece.
The textile is from approximately 1930, and is made of wool thread on a cotton or linen backing. The white lilies and green leaves stand out attractively on the red background. The nature-inspired frame with maple leaf motif is from 1950-1979 and is made of wood with brass coated aluminum.
The cross stitch and frame measure 16 1/2 " x 14 1/4
