What an honor it is to feature the orignal artwork of Roz Marshall in our auction!
Roz Marshall is known internationally for her vivid and colorful style of painting. Although she has lived in Kealakekua for many years now, she was born in Wales and lived in England, Washington, D.C. and Bahrain. Roz graduated with honors in Painting from the Vancouver School of Arts, having studied under Don Jarvis, Bruce Boyd, and Jack Shadbolt, whom she credits for her independent approach to imagery. She later studied ceramics and drawing at High Wycombe College of Art, in England, and printmaking at the Alberta College of Art. Her love of travel has also brought her on painting trips to Australia, Bali, Fiji, and Europe. Roz has had solo shows across Canada and Hawaii, and has been part of group exhibits across North America, Hong Kong and Singapore. Her work is found in a number of private and public collections. She has been particularly influenced by the color and beauty of Hawaii and what it means to be a woman and an artist.
This beautiful, three-shelf side table was painted exclusively for this auction and perfectly captures Roz's style: colorful, vivid and spirited. It is a one-of-a-kind original and is signed by Roz on the bottom. It measures 24" tall, 9.5" at its deepest, and 18" at its widest.
